Marking of discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian scientist Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman, that was done on February 28, 1928. On 28 February, National Science Day is celebrated to mark the discovery of the “Raman Effect”.
Sir Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for this important discovery.
