In the last T20 International match of the three-match series against South Africa, Virat Kohli shouldered the South African bowler Buren Hendrix, for which he has been given this punishment.
According to a release issued by the ICC, Virat Kohli was found to be in violation of Level-1 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
“Inappropriate physical contact with a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other person (including a spectator) during an International Match.”
ICC said: “Kohli admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Richie Richardson of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, and as such, there was no need for a formal hearing,”.
